Chip Duford is a professional union stage actor. He started in 1989 as an acting intern at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, MI (on the Hope College campus, his undergraduate alma mater.) In 2018 he celebrated his 25th season as a member of their acting company, having performed in over 50 productions in a variety of roles.
In 1995, he had the pleasure of working on an original musical called CHAPS! with the husband-and-wife writing team of Malcolm Hillgartner and Jahnna Beecham. During the course of two productions he was hired to arrange the vocal parts for it, and in 1997, he earned his equity card reprising the role he created in that same musical, at the Tacoma Actors Guild, in Tacoma, WA.
Chip has worked across the country from Oregon to Massachusetts, in such theatres as The Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, The Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival, The Meadow Brook Theatre, The Cleveland Play House, and Gallery Players in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY
Chip studied theatre at Hope College and got a Masters of Fine Arts in Professional Actor Training from Ohio University
