In addition to his performance puppetry, Chip has a small portfolio of puppetry and costume design. Starting with his assisting of Brad Williams in designing and building human-sized creature costumes and puppets for the 5-year Hope Summer Repertory Theatre/Hope College Theatre joint production of E.T.A. Hoffmann's The Nutcracker. From there he gained more experience on his own.
